Did you have a good weekend?
My brother got married yesterday and it was a really gorgeous ceremony. I can’t believe my little brother is a husband now! I got married at 23, and he’s 23 and it just feels like it was such a long time ago and he seems so much younger than I remember feeling five years ago.
Needless to say, it was an emotional weekend. The ceremony was modified to about 10% of the guests to meet the Covid requirements for their venue. The venue was very pretty, but my parents held dinner in their backyard afterwards and that was gorgeous. They have been renovating the house during quarantine and it was beautiful. They helped a lot with setting up my backyard wedding in 2015 and I’m impressed by them once again! Granted that was my sweet stuff for the week.

I’m currently listening to Becoming by Michelle Obama on audiobook – I’ve cried no less than three times already and I’m only a few chapters in.
So, I said I did not like this book and I gave up on it. But everyone kept saying they loved it, so I listened to it on audiobook. It was OK to listen to as just background noise as I was working or driving. I give up on this series, seriously, this time.
I spent several hours perusing Carolyn’s Francophile content over at My Chic Obession this week. My new favorite blog for sure. Go give her a follow!
GOOD EATS
We had City BBQ over the weekend and it was so good! I’ve been wanting bbq all summer so glad I finally got to indulge. They catered dinner after my brother’s wedding and I thought they did a great job setting up and were very fairly priced.
